  • She was special to me for many reasons, but mainly for one. For what, I cannot disclose. Go ahead and guess. Take a shot at it and I'm sure you'll hit the spot. She wasn't your stereotypical Persian girl. Not too fancy, picky, or high maintenance and somewhat arrogant. However, she was confident and fierce, never backed down from anything. I loved that about her, even more her beautiful mother. She treated me like her own son. Never passed a chance to compliment me and compare me to her daughter's past failures. And the banter in Farsi the two would exchange made my heart melt. Not to mention the wonderful cooks these two were. As passionate as we were towards each other, we'd constantly butt heads. One too many arguments drifted us apart. Naturally, it ate our relationship inside-out. We ended it on mutual terms, so I'd like to think. But we remained in contact for a while, displaying our mutual respect. She became that one ex who claimed certain privileges, which didn't settle in too well with my future significant others. For obvious reasons for course. This, of course, gave way to many "drama for ya mama" episodes. But there's a slight twist to this look. It's not based on her, it's inspired by her mother.
I admired her mother for the woman she was. A single mother who was genuinely satisfied with life, she was the perfect example of a strong independent woman. Not only was this woman gorgeous, she was incredibly stylish. In her younger years, she was a complete knockout. I always enjoyed browsing through old photo albums. There were particular shots she had taken in Paris. Jaw dropper. This Iranian beauty took pride in her look and made it look effortless. Such grace, left me in awe. These two made my senior year in high school quite entertaining. I wish I could sit with her again one day just to listen to her life stories. I hope she's well. I believe this deserves two looks.

This look is straight out of a Michael Jackson song from his Dangerous album. I took one line of lyrics from the song "She Drives Me Wild" and this is the look that came to mind.

A bit posh this time around but why not splurge a little and dip your fingers in some winter glam. Again, there is no sacrifice in style when wearing warm clothing. The layers are correct and so should be your attitude, especially with this type of look.
