Earlier in the week, I attended our company's one year anniversary shindig. As usual, I had to get my suit made. It's an addiction, I know. But it's a good one. The gathering itself was, well, a tad boring. What happened afterward is what made the rest of the evening a fantastic ride. Although, there is one thing I would love to share with you all. It may seem strange but I am most comfortable when I'm in one of my suits. Two-piece or three-piece, doesn't matter. It's my body of armour, I feel like a freakin' superhero in it.
What did I wear? Well, if you don't follow my Instagram (click here), today's post is something similar to the outfit from Tuesday evening.

Suit Supply - Blue Check Sienna (mine was black/3-piece)
    Emma Willis blue cotton shirt
    Lanvin silk-satin tie

Uniform Wares 351 Series (not a big watch guy but I appreciate horology)
    Etro paisley silk pocket square

This heat is absolutely ridiculous. Summer come very early here in Dhaka so I'll be sharing a similar look I sported today. It's incredibly light and casual as your grandfather wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt. Except it's not as tacky.

Gentlemen, let me start off by saying that you don't have to look or dress like me in order to be "cool". I am no trendsetter, but I do take pride in how I look. It is who I am. I say this because today's post is a look I sported recently for a birthday party. What I wear might not look good on you or may not suit your personal style. And that is perfectly fine! Again, GS should only be a source of inspiration. It's the same I do for the ladies. An outfit is presented, and you are free to play off of it. Here's a similar look to what I wore for the party with a few additions, apart from the scarf. In fact, what I was wearing is set to my profile picture on my personal Facebook account. You can always take a gander at my Instagram (look for the icon at the top of this page) to see what I was wearing.
I would also like to add, it's good to be back. Here's to a very stylish 2014.

I know it's been a while, gentlemen. But I'm still here and so is GS. Today's edition is something I did for the magazine I work for, Avenue T (at Dhaka Tribune). There were three different looks that you could wear throughout the day. It was more for the office - suit & tie - gentleman so I chose a solid navy suit jacket in three different ways. One look was for the office, completely suited up. Second, a slightly more relaxed look, after losing the tie and adding a pocket square for a sophisticated dinner/meeting after work. Finally, there was a much more casual look. The navy suit jacket or blazer can be used with a solid polo shirt and some jeans for those hang out sessions with your close friends after work. Now, I can't share the exact look but here is something similar.
Keep in mind the items you see here aren't meant to scare you by their price tags. These, I can't stress enough, are meant for you to try out new looks. Update your style game.

    Look 1
Gant Ruger - Navy Striped wool-blend suit jacket
Burberry London - Light blue slim-fit cotton shirt
    Turnbull & Asser - Swiss Dot silk-tie
Gant Rugger - Navy Striped wool-blend suit trouser
    Corgi striped cotton-blend socks
    Lanvin - Burnished-leather Oxford shoes
Look 2: without the tie and with the pocket square, while the top two buttons are unbuttoned.
MP di Massimo Piombo printed cotton pocket square

Look 3: without the pocket square, with suit jacket.
Burberry Brit - Cotton-pique polo shirt
A.P.C. - New Cure slim-fit dry denim jeans
Quoddy - True penny suede and leather loafers
By the time you head out with Look 3, half way through hanging out with your friends, the suit jacket or blazer will be taken off anyway.

Gentlemen, I apologize for the long delay. I would have liked to title this post Suit & Tie (yes, one of JT's hit singles from his new album) - matching post to The Outfit 246: Dress On I did for the ladies. This is sort of a corresponding post to that have the looks I did for the ladies a little while ago.
For those who really don't feel like taking a gander on what I did for the ladies, I'll explain. I was inspired by one of JT's songs - from his new album - called, Dress On. It sparked the idea for two different looks. One was all out 'red carpet' formal look and the other, a little more toned down yet sophisticated. With the new season in mind, along with the new hot trends, I've put together a couple of looks for you gentlemen in the same fashion.
Like I've mentioned many times before, I'm not telling anyone to buy these items; these serve as an inspirational agent. Take a good look at the outfits and conjure up ideas that will look good on you under your own budget.
