  • The weather is still on its mood swings no? Regardless, little hints of Spring can be tasted. I'm glad to know that this season the dominate color to sport is blue. It's my favorite color so I've decided to give you gentlemen, a couple of very stylish outfits. You can take these looks to wear it on a day during the weekend. One look for the day time and the other, evening all with blue being the stand out color (in different shades). A reminder gentlemen, I am not suggesting you purchase these exact items. The purpose is to head out and find similar articles of clothing and accessories to mimic the looks I present to you. Although, the first look is definitely affordable and the socks are optional (only on the casual look).

Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depends on simplicity.
    - Plato
In Greek mythology, poetry, and literature, The Muses were the goddesses that inspired the creation of literature, science, and the arts. In Ancient Greece, it had been said that in the beginning there were only three in number but later multiplied into nine in total. Regardless, there are only three in my life. Three very different women, at different ages, but all three are beautiful inside and out.
All three of these women hold a very important place in my heart and mind. I have a different relationship with each, but all three have contributed to my work (sketches and styling). It's not just towards work. It's life in general. All three are very down to earth - kind human beings with big hearts. I've decided to dedicate this post, as they have inspired each look, (and future posts with the title The Muses) to these three gorgeous women as I love each of them dearly.

My definition of elegance and classical beauty. I could say every time she comes into mind I automatically think of royalty, as if she was strolling down the main road in an open carriage waving at the citizens with a smile to light up the world. With a goddess-like figure and looks, this woman makes my heart flutter with little effort to none at all. The way she speaks, laughs, and presents herself to the rest of the world is mesmerizing. I have nothing but fond memories of her.
Oscar de la Renta - One-shoulder silk-chiffon gown
Jimmy Choo - Tema crystal-embellished satin and suede
Roberta Chiarella - Hello Gorgeous earrings
    Modernist gold dotted bracelet
    Valentino - Bow satin clutch

    Shamima
She is my definition of sensuality. Silhouettes that are both playful and cute suddenly become seductive when she tries them on. And yes, having an authentic English accent helps. I absolutely adore this young lady, as I affectionately call her "my favorite Bangali girl". We are so much alike it's incredible, we feed off each others positivity. This woman is not only gorgeous, but sophisticated and caring individual. She's not only my favorite person to style, but also a strong and loving mother of the cutest little girl. We have mutual admiration and respect for each other, always topping each others love for one another.
Roberto Cavalli - Dark Prussian Blue jersey dress
    Giuseppe Zanotti
Alexander McQueen - Britannia box clutch
    Minu Jewels lapis bracelet
    Isharya - Moon Bali 18k gold-plated ring

    Sonia
The 5'10" Punjabi girl with Kashmiri blood in her (in my opinion, the most beautiful women in the world are from Kashmir) is the youngest of the three. A model turned aspiring singer is the one I've known the longest. She's a California native that represents youth and fun; it's the attitude of a free spirit, but she knows her limits. I've known my raspberry gelato since she was around 10 or 11, not a worry in the world. She's grown up and still plenty to grow. One thing is for sure, this young lady has plenty of confidence when it comes to her personal style.
Alexander McQueen - Engineered lace dress
    Christian Louboutin - Lady Peep
    Alex Monroe feather ring
Wildfox Couture Jewelry - Owl Cuff
Jeeyun Ha Designs - Black Onyx 14k gold feather earrings

    Alexander McQueen - 3:03 AM

Some people may say it's boring but I don't, I love it. No, I do not watch the Academy Awards just for the fashion. Before my passion for style and fashion, I had a passion for film (still do) and I have a deep appreciation for it. Watched over countless films in many languages and from different countries, I love getting lost into that world. This year's Oscars red carpet was fantastic and here is where I share, with the rest of you, my personal top 10 best dressed at the Oscars.
The winner, for me, was the amazingly Penelope Cruz. I fell in love with all over again. Pure elegance and old Hollywood, just the way I love it. Overall, these women graced the red carpet with absolute class, the way it's supposed to be.
    Penelope Cruz in Armani Privé
Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen (A close second.)
Natalie Portman in Christian Dior Haute Couture
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford (btw the desi woman in the sari looks lovely)
    Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli (Fantastic as usual.)
    Rooney Mara in Givenchy
Stacy Keibler in Marchesa (Oh, George, you lucky devil. That shouldn't be a surprise.)
Bingbing Li in Georges Chakra Couture
Shailene Woodley in Valentino Couture (I wish you guys could see the details on this thing! It's magnificent)

Sometimes, all you really need is one item that stands out while on a contrasting background. Spring is about colors, sure; although, this does not necessarily mean you have to wear all the colors of the rainbow to celebrate the new season. You simply have to wear the correct colors within good taste.

It's the transitional period time of the year. Winter slowly fades away and the heat creeps in for the wonderful Spring. But the chill in the first half of the day tends to linger.
