  • Recently, I had a short convo with one of my closest friends, Shamima (who also happens to be one of my muses). She has these very rare moments where she second guesses her style choices, which is baffling to me at times because this woman is perfect in all aspects of life. Well, she may not see it that way, but I can never let up on how amazing she is. Anyway, so this British beauty sparked another look in my head.
One of the many things I love about her is her fearlessness. So many things have been thrown at her and she's faced them like a champ. I figured she deserves to put on a badass outfit, with a hint of sophistication. Shamima, you rock my world, girl.

I've always been a fan of the trench coat. As the cold winds have picked up in the city, it was only natural for me to think of this look. I go to and from work on a rickshaw as my main transportation so it's interesting to see what others are wearing, when the winds of winter (God, I hope Martin finishes that damn book) come in full force. The daytime is pretty warm here in Dhaka. When evening settles in, the slight chill creeps in from place to place.
In any case, it's a proper winter in many other places in the world so here's an outfit you might want to try on next time you head out to face the cold. This look is quite comfortable and has the right amount of warmth, it's much softer than the last one.

I know it's been a while, gentlemen. But I'm still here and so is GS. Today's edition is something I did for the magazine I work for, Avenue T (at Dhaka Tribune). There were three different looks that you could wear throughout the day. It was more for the office - suit & tie - gentleman so I chose a solid navy suit jacket in three different ways. One look was for the office, completely suited up. Second, a slightly more relaxed look, after losing the tie and adding a pocket square for a sophisticated dinner/meeting after work. Finally, there was a much more casual look. The navy suit jacket or blazer can be used with a solid polo shirt and some jeans for those hang out sessions with your close friends after work. Now, I can't share the exact look but here is something similar.
Keep in mind the items you see here aren't meant to scare you by their price tags. These, I can't stress enough, are meant for you to try out new looks. Update your style game.

Seems like I have been posting every other full moon. Apologies, ladies. My attention has been diverted to many other things in life, unfortunately. It's not that I haven't been inspired, I just haven't had time for my beloved blog. Just like I stated on Twitter last night, I promised a new post so here it is.
This look was inspired by the school colors of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and a certain someone. I always admired the color combo (and her curves); it's pleasing to the eyes. I've taken a favorite color of hers and added shades that compliment the rest of the outfit.

Last week I sported a couple of winter looks I hadn't tried out before as I was off to meetings at work. There was a variation on both looks. The clothes for look 1 was a tad dressed up rounded off with some sneakers. Look 2 was the opposite. For those who don't know, I'm a necktie kind of guy so when there is no tie, I'm hoping to wrap myself with a scarf. It is winter after all, you've got to keep warm and comfortable.
Here are two looks similar to what I was wearing last week. They are very simple, gentlemen. It's comfortable, in style, and sure to gather compliments.
