I am going to leave this story to the imagination. She's been in my head for a while so it was only appropriate. Just know that she is ...
I was really struggling with myself about this one. I tried avoiding simply because it's, well, couture. It's about a collection that seem to be unattainable to the general public. It's for the 'elite'. It's obviously not everyday wear for you ladies. But then I thought to myself, these collections are pieces of art. Honest labor goes into making these pieces of art. This has to do with style like everything else. The main focus of this blog is to serve as an inspiration. It's not just styling tips for both men and women or my view of what's chic. These are things that appeal to me as a stylist, more importantly, as a person who deeply appreciates art and design or anything that has to do with style. And I believe this deserves to be shown and shared.
Another difficulty was there are so many beautiful and stunning looks from each collection that it's hard to narrow things down to a 'Top 3' or even a 'Top 5'. For example, this year's Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad collections are breathtaking. I am in love with both collections. Every look! In other words, even though I have only chosen a select few for this post, doesn't necessarily mean they are my absolute favorites nor are they in any particular order. I recommend all of you two view the entire collection of both so you know exactly why I'm in love with them. With the exception of those two, the rest I can say is fair game. I can say they are my favorites from the lot.
What I have decided to do is to present this in three parts. Here is part 1.

A couple of looks I thought of while watching the most recent episode of Gossip Girl. Yes, I watch it. It's my guilty pleasure. I really only watch the show for two major reasons: 1. I am a fan of Leighton Meester's, as she portrays Blaire Waldorf. 2. The fashion, from the arrogant chic Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) to pretty much everything both Blaire and Sarena (Blake Lively) wear in every episode. And, OK, fine...I'll admit, I always want to know what will happen next.

It isn't over. I hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas (those who celebrate it), but the holidays haven't come to a close just yet. Have to love the fact that there are plenty of parties to attend within the last week of December - the last week of 2011. Here's another, very elegant, party outfit.

Earlier today, I had a friend of mine ask me about an outfit she could possibly wear for a New Year's party. I figured why not post up an outfit for you ladies for the upcoming holiday-season parties. This specific look is something I played off from helping Musarrat (the friend and hopefully, on her way to becoming a fantastic designer). This young lady is pretty darn tall, 6'1". The obvious is she can be intimidating, especially in a society where being that tall isn't the norm. In fact, most tall women can come off intimidating, but the fact is it's not about the height that scares people, it's the confidence.
When a woman, short or tall, has that confident attitude, others find themselves in a high level of insecurity. There is nothing wrong with being short or tall. Remember, ladies, the essence of style comes from confidence; it's the mind set you put yourself in - being comfortable under your own skin. It's the balance between glamour and humility. Before you look great, you have to feel great. That's called being chic, that's called having class.

Once you enter the party, take the jacket off (place it somewhere safe) and just let loose. It may be tempting to go higher on the heels on your shoes, but remember ladies, it's a party. You want to feel relaxed and I know you'll want to shake your tush off on the dance floor. Another obvious step is to simply take your shoes off if the venue allows it. Have fun, ladies. More party looks coming soon...
