  • I love sports, always have. Athletic activities have been in my life, one way or the other. And I have always found it very sexy when a woman can look feminine in a sporty outfit. A lot of my female friends back in Cali are huge fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Unfortunately, I can't share their passion because I'm a Yankees fan. Sorry, ladies, I still love you.
But that won't stop me from putting together a look for those Dodger Blue loving fans, without making it too obvious.

Alright, so I'm back from a very long hiatus. I've used all the excuses I can make, putting my day job in front as my number one priority. I have been absent from blogging for too long, and I did have plenty of downtime to continue posting. I decided, after seeing others follow their passion, to get back on the horse. I've started vlogging again as well (click here) because I'm at that stage of my life where I can focus on both my day job and passions in film and fashion. Technically, my job (as a fashion/tech journalist) coincides with my passions, so it's not far off. Ultimately, there really isn't a good excuse.
In other words, I'm back to doing what I love and I hope everyone will support me along the way. I know you guys will because some of you kept asking me to blog again. Well, I'm back. This time, for good.
The title suggests something along the lines of freedom and openness. This is an outfit for a quick getaway. In the spirit of summer, it's light and sexy. The initial look was somewhat inspired by the Pia Mia video to her song "Let's Do It Again". The song had been on repeat for an hour or so on my iTunes. Ridiculous. I pictured this look on a young lady making her way down a floral-lined pathway to a secluded beach. Not getting in the water of course. Perhaps for a brunch and a gossip session with her girlfriends?

I try to get these out as much as I can, but I always get swept away with work. Not that it's a bad thing. So I sat here, and instantly I thought of a look that is really casual...somewhat. Work and no play is just unhealthy. Forget about even playing, I'm talking about just taking a breather. Rest and relaxation. Can't we just chill?

I've always been a fan of the trench coat. As the cold winds have picked up in the city, it was only natural for me to think of this look. I go to and from work on a rickshaw as my main transportation so it's interesting to see what others are wearing, when the winds of winter (God, I hope Martin finishes that damn book) come in full force. The daytime is pretty warm here in Dhaka. When evening settles in, the slight chill creeps in from place to place.
In any case, it's a proper winter in many other places in the world so here's an outfit you might want to try on next time you head out to face the cold. This look is quite comfortable and has the right amount of warmth, it's much softer than the last one.

There are a couple of colleagues of mine who sport more blazers and sport coats than anyone else on the floor. They may not wear it every day but when they do, they look every bit of that "boss lady" image. A confident and commanding presence doesn't always have to be intimidating. It can also be inspiring and showered with admiration. More importantly, with figures to boast, it's always sexy to see a woman in control.

One of my colleagues gave inspiration to today's look. She has the kind of young and sexy look, a playful appeal. Her smile splashes bright colors and her attitude puts things on chill; all is delivered, even though she's going mad inside of her head with all that she has to do. She's desirable for her talent (she's pretty damn good) but I admire her for her potential as a chic and successful young lady.
I'm very much looking forward to giving her an entire makeover because with her the combinations are endless.
