  • Getting a tad annoying, no? The see-saw the weather loves to play with us, definitely getting to me. It's true that in some places in the world people never get to experience winter. In other parts of the world, summer is that beautiful high school crush who sat on the other side of the classroom. You can sit and stare but you know you will never be able to have it. For a stylist, it's really not a problem, I can put together all sorts of looks together, regardless the weather. But as part of the general public, I want the weather to cooperate. I woke up with a slight cold this morning, not feeling that great. Thank you, terrible weather. Enough of my rambling, onto the new look. Onto something practical and cool, something that will cooperate.
I saw this look on a pretty young thing; actually, I'm pretty sure she was much older than she looked, but this outfit turned back the hands of time while keeping the sophistication intact. She also used the scarf to keep her ponytail tied.

It's a bit strange to have sprinkles falling from the sky here and there when it's supposed to be full on Spring, right? Or is it just a transitional month in where winter crawls out for spring to take its seat. Regardless, style never takes a break, regardless the weather. It's down to you, if you actually want to give it that extra effort.

Halfway into March, the madness begins. I'm not just talking about NCAA Basketball, I'm talking about getting your wardrobe set for the rest of Spring/Summer. One thing to always remember, it's only the beginning. This means there will always be something new to sport or try on. One trend after another, you have to keep updated somehow. The important thing throughout this process is to keep your staple items in the wardrobe fresh. Around this time, you will see plenty of denim (jeans) and leather (jackets).
I've become match maker in today's post. One leather jacket with some jeans, here are a few favorable selections that you might want to invest in.

I've always said that the fall/winter months are the best, yet when Spring strolls in, I fall in love with all the beautiful colors. The attention is not only on the items you are wearing but it should also be on you. There is a balance to everything, it's 50/50 when it comes to presenting yourself. 50% of the attention on you and the other 50 is everything else. I have always loved the floral prints when it comes to Spring outfits. It just goes, doesn't it? It's almost as if you can't have one without the other - a balance.

Talk about street chic, this look was caught straight from the stylish streets of New York. This has plenty of that Brooklyn attitude with simplicity being key in this outfit. And for some reason, my friend Shamima (one of my muses) came into mind, I can definitely see her rocking this.

This particular outfit comes from a very pretty young lady who reminds me of a close friend of mine, Nadia. Very similar in the looks department, she has a lovely smile and just a wonderful presence. And a simple reminder ladies, if you can't find the exact same item, you are supposed to search for something similar in style.
