From now on, as a gentleman, you have my word that I will be providing much more content on this blog for you wonderful gentlemen. Like today and future posts, you will see much of the same I share with the ladies but with a slight difference. Yes, you will be seeing posts for you more often but not as much as provide for the ladies. The difference is when I share an outfit with you there will be two looks instead of just one. Aside from the styling and different outfits, I will still be sharing similar content I have provided you with in the past. In other words, not every post will have an outfit; it can be on a specific item(s), for example, a post specifically on shoes. Now, that we've gotten all that out of the way, today's post is a perfect way to start the new string of Gentlemen's Sartorial.
Time goes by pretty fast as we find ourselves well into August, the last month of summer. And it's no secret that I love the fall/winter months because fashion and style wise it's my favorite time of the year. Also, the temperature drops somewhat and that's a great thing when you live in a tropical/humid environment like me. I used to be confused with myself wondering why I preferred colder climates when I was raised in the state of California. Southern California to be exact. Sure, I love Cali weather, it's beautiful; it's beach weather. Aside from the obvious in that part of the world, I soon found myself growing out of it only because I've brought myself to a much hotter and humid climate. Now I know why I beg for colder weather.
Well, summer isn't over yet! We shall enjoy the 'last month of summer', gentlemen. Here are two looks to try out that you can easily take into the Autumn months based on a similar outfit I wore to a wedding receptions late last month. One look is more on the semi-formal side and the other a casual look - both using the same trousers so it won't be too much of a bother to switch from one look to the other in a day. I have also provided a couple of styling tips at the end.

- I recommend you do not tuck your shirt in on look 2. It may look good on some, but for the overall look you are trying to put on a relaxed vibe.
- It's perfectly fine to go with a contrasting, yet complimenting, colored socks for look 1. You can be loud if you want but too loud.
- You can choose to either wear socks or not on look 2, it's up to you. If you are worried about your feet stinking, you can always go back to the last edition of GS where I have provided the solution to the issue.
- As for the watch, again, it's totally up to you. Do not worry about how much it costs (this one is more than affordable), it's all about the positive vibe you are sending out. Nowadays, unless you meet up with an horological bourgeois, no one is going to give you any attitude or judge you by the brand of watch you wear. Again, not everyone is a "watch person" like me (although it's probably because I have expensive taste when it comes to watches, ie. Patek Philippe) so do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Instead of a watch, you can simply substitute it with some 'man-jewelry' like a fabric woven bracelet.
