The kids at school may have summer break but most of you still have to get to your day job. Someone's got to pay the bills, right? What do you have to look forward to, besides holidays? The weekend.
Here are my summer weekend essentials from head to toe. Click on captions for more details.

• Attitude - It's the weekend, relax. 
• Hair product - Assuming it's during the day and you simply want to "kick-back" or just "chill", It's not a formal event, let your scalp breathe completely. If you must add a hair product, keep it very light. Very light.
• Shades - Gentlemen, you can never go wrong with classics. Take the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, it's for all time. The Wayfarer, even the iconic Aviators, can be worn while dressed down or dressed-up.

• Top - Polo shirts. Doesn't matter the brand, almost every label (reputable that is) has their own line of polo shirts in all different colors. Know your skin complexion and which colors look good on you. And gentlemen, keep your collars down. The ladies can pull it off, but it is not OK to "pop" your collars. There are styles from the 80s that are acceptable in today's time and turning your collars up is not one of them.

• At the waist - Depending on your jeans or pants, be colorful. I'm not talking about crazy patterns or rainbow colors. Just make something pop without being an eye-sore.

• Bottom - This should be a little obvious. You can never go wrong with fine denim. Although, you do have to make sure you have fitting jeans wrapped around you. It doesn't stop there. Chinos are a definite substitute and equally comforting. For casual pants, just remember to go with the lighter shades if you can. If you want to be "bold" or know that you are a stylish gent, please do go with white denim. You read it. White denim.

• For your feet - You can't do this anywhere in the world, but if you live in an environment that isn't high on the humidity level, go without socks. Once again, the lighter the color on the shoes is best. You want to look relaxed. Laces are good, shoes without laces even better (remember the Car Shoes).

• Other accessories - You can still look chic and keep your eyes in the shade without wearing any shades. I'm a huge fan of fedoras and the best thing about hats is that they do come in different fabrics. Lighter fabrics for the warmer months, this should be obvious. There are many styles and colors you can place on that head of yours.
