  • Today's look comes straight from the most recent 'Wear It Now' section on GQ.com. Yes, it's for the men but it's the color combination that grabbed my attention. This color combo has been one of my favorites as long as I can remember. As a young boy, I always labeled certain colors and combination of colors by the names of famous universities back in the States. I grew up loving sports and mainly collegiate sports.
A certain shade of blue I would call Carolina Blue, referring to the school colors of the University of North Carolina (nicknamed the Tarheels). This can go on with other specific colors and today's look I always referred to as Michigan for the University of Michigan (Wolverines).

Most of the day, today, was very gloomy on this side of the planet. It was border-line depressing so I thought of something to brighten the day up. If only I styled someone with this outfit, it would have been perfect. The look is pleasing to the eye and a definite swift kick in the weather's ass.

This is simple, elegant, and more importantly, relaxed. To me, black on black has always been sexy but it's always good to liven things up with another complimenting color. Yes, it's true. You actually do 'look' slimmer in black but even more flattering when there is a welcoming frame to play with.

I constantly remind women that the first thing you should be concerned about is your comfort! The easiest and simple outfits do just that. And in turn, the simplicity is what makes you chic and in style.

I thought of this number while watching the animated film Rio (fun one to watch). The colors in this look reminded me of Brazil and the joy of samba. It's the perfect outfit for the summer days while Sérgio Mendes is playing in the background.
