  • I'm sure the cast of Heroes would appreciate that title. But unfortunately, this isn't a story of my soiree with the now pregnant Hayden Panettiere. This is about a cheerleader I crushed hard on back in the 7th grade. Apart from my celeb crush on Tyra Banks, before she went cray-cray, this crush lasted nearly three bloody years! Not sure if it was the soft curls, hypnotizing smile and dimples, or the incredibly proportional body. And her personality? Perky would be an understatement. She was, and possibly still is, an intelligent ball of positivity. And I felt that loving vibe from the moment we met. She thought I was the cutest, hugged me like no other. It wasn't just a hug, it was a 'squeeze the crap out of you' bear embrace.
But here's another pretty gal that favoured more skirts and shorts; although, I do remember her in trousers on many occasions. In my opinion, she did the skirt game the best. Those legs. Killer. She was athletic after all.
It's good to know we keep in touch from time to time. It's also good to see her with a successful business and being a newlywed. Hats off, love. Wish nothing but the best for you.

Last night I had the urge to fall in love again. For those who already know me, the love I have for film is beyond any other subject. There are certain films that provoke certain feelings. Why I had the need to 'fall in love' again, I can't discuss. But what I can say is, at the time, I only thought of one film that could do just that. Many will call me very 'filmi', a person who is - in plain terms - a Hindi cinema enthusiast.
I watched a Bollywood (I still hate that word) classic last night called Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. It remains my favorite Hindi film of all time. In this film, the lead actress, Kajol, wears a red dress in the freezing snow of Switzerland during a song. The scene is quite iconic, watching her dance about in her knee-high boots as the hemline on her dress drops right above her knees. This is something similar to what she wore in the 1995 film, with my added touch to it of course.

I know it's the 200th post of 'The Outfit' but, technically, the outfit posts have gone further back. Either way, 200 is still a significant number somewhat so I figured I'll post three different looks instead of just one today. I haven't done it in a while so this would be appropriate for the "200th" post.

Here is another look straight from one of the shows I love watching on television. Hawaii Five-0 takes place in, you guessed it, in Hawaii; specifically, on the island of Oahu. It's action packed and has only one female member of this elite task force named, Kono Kalakaua, played by actress Grace Park (very sexy). She was wearing a similar look near the end of the season 3 premiere minus the side arm and badge strapped to her side. This is very casual and proper for a tropical climate with a tad military feel to it.
