The Outfit 211: Simran
5:27 PMLast night I had the urge to fall in love again. For those who already know me, the love I have for film is beyond any other subject. There are certain films that provoke certain feelings. Why I had the need to 'fall in love' again, I can't discuss. But what I can say is, at the time, I only thought of one film that could do just that. Many will call me very 'filmi', a person who is - in plain terms - a Hindi cinema enthusiast.
I watched a Bollywood (I still hate that word) classic last night called Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. It remains my favorite Hindi film of all time. In this film, the lead actress, Kajol, wears a red dress in the freezing snow of Switzerland during a song. The scene is quite iconic, watching her dance about in her knee-high boots as the hemline on her dress drops right above her knees. This is something similar to what she wore in the 1995 film, with my added touch to it of course.
