The new project taken on by myself and my partner, S, is almost ready to commence. I hope most of you can understand why there have been long gaps from one post to another, but I will not leave you astray. Even though this current project will remain clandestine, I assure all of you, you will read and hear plenty of yours truly.
What caught my attention today was a normal visit to one of my favorite sites, GQ. It was a small article and slide show of Travis Pastrana (an extreme-sports record breaker) sporting some very stylish Summer appropriate suits. A few and very popular threads were introduced as well to many people who are alien to the world of fabrics. I'm sure most of you have heard of the seersucker suit. A seersucker is a very light thinned out cotton fabric that are commonly stripped or checkered. A definite style of suit to have if you have the need to put one on. Although, that's not the fabric in highlight. It's the cousin of the seersucker called the whipcord. It's a similar type of fabric but more of the diagonal or twisted cords. The whipcord suit Travis had put on was by one of my favorite stores Express (which I also used to work for). Price? $248 (USD; suit jack and pants sold separately). Yes, it's worth it.
A few others on the list are a definite buy so don't be afraid to take a gander, gentleman. Even though cotton is still king doesn't mean you are not allowed to try on some of the other wonderful linen and whipcord suits. In fact besides cotton, linen, seersucker, silk, and so on are recommended even more.
