- The blue and gray suits should obviously not be in the same shade of color. Three different suits means three different shades.
- I've said this plenty of times before, always have several white dress shirts. Again, not all white shirts are the same. You have different styles of collars and cuffs.
- The blue shirts is a mixture of the necessary aspects of the suits and the white shirts. Different styles and different shades of blue.
- The navy socks is more of a necessity towards a more working environment. Personally, when you are a man of variety you want to keep more than just navy. In my closet, there is black, navy, brown, gray, etc.
- Ties are one of the most important key fixtures in a sharp outfit. In fact, if you are talking about a suit, the tie is the most important accessory. Given the style of the suit and your figure (and the style of your collar), you want to have different sizes in width when it comes to ties.
- Black and brown are the two necessary colors of shoes, it's a given. It's good to have several pairs, it's important that you keep shoes in tip-top shape. It is true, a lot can be told simply by looking at a man's shoes.
- This is very simple, two overcoats: 1. Black 2. Brown or Gray
- The scarves and umbrella can only be decided given the environment. If you live in a very warm climate, chances are you will not need a scarf or umbrella. It's common sense really.
- A handkerchief, I never leave home without one. If you are wearing a suit, it's important to always carry a handkerchief and a pocket square. Remember, those are two completely different accessories. One is a pocket square, stays in your upper left suit jacket. And the other is hidden away in another pocket, this can be used to wipe. These are signs of a true gentleman so make sure you have different colors and fabrics when it comes to a handkerchief, but very important to keep plenty of white ones.
- Having a wallet is a must, keep it leather and simple. As for the briefcase, not everyone needs one. But when you do, it better be a quality one; in other words, it should cost you quite a bit.
- A tote bag is possibly the second most important bag to have. It has to be simple and roomy enough just for the over nighter.
- I know, nowadays, we have our Black Berry phones, iPhones, iPads and so on. Gentlemen, I cannot stress this enough. It is yet another important factor to what a gentleman should posses. A decent pen and a small notebook is to honor the past. It is to honor a mighty instrument that great novelists and play-writes have used. One basic thing people tend to forget about having these two things, it's faster than taking out your phone and going to whichever app. you like to use to type in notes with. There is faster access. A pen should also be used to write personal "thank you" notes.
- Many men ask why wear a watch when you have your phones? It's a touch of class, a man who has his life in control and organized. All these little bits mean so much more in your overall look and style. It speaks volumes when people see a quality watch on your wrist. This doesn't mean you should show it off. It should be discreet. A person who is a good judge of character will notice, trust. They will respect and admire you for it even more.
