Double Breasted

One of the big trends for this season is the double breasted jacket. From formal to casual, you have to have at least one double breasted jacket, by itself or with a suit, in your closet, gentlemen. Keep in mind the double-breasted jacket isn't for everyone and that's perfectly fine. If you are choosing to lock one of these babies down, you have to keep in mind what works with your figure. There are plenty of things to consider, such as the width of the lapels or the style of collar on your shirt, and if you do wear it as a suit, you should have the correct sized tie. There's plenty of more to learn so you guys can go ahead and head over to GQ's "Dos and Don'ts" of the double breasted jackets here: How to Wear a Double Breasted Jacket. Don't forget to check out the slide show either, that's where the real education is set. Just read the captions!
Here are some fantastic double breasted jackets that I would recommend:

Marc by Marc Jacobs peak lapels
Hentsch Man wool-blend
Viktor & Rolf deconstructed jacket
Yves Saint Laurent
Alexander McQueen wool blend jacket
There are many others you can try out. Don't be afraid to define some style authority to work or to the next event you attend.
