  • To see the first part of this series, click here. The first outfit was quite a posh, somewhat relaxed look, something you'd see on a yacht party or an evening out near the beach. This time around, I tried for a much more relaxed look. Well, slightly toned down. Slightly.

A unique beauty from up north. First, Norway (click here), then Sweden happened. She was the first Bangali girl I had met with her personality. She was wise beyond her years, and more importantly, I never had a single argument with her. I've never not had an argument with a Bangali woman. True story. She taught me life lessons, having to reevaluate myself as a person more often than not. She's changed over the years, but I believe for the better. Much more open to the world, letting herself experiment, yet still with a steady head. A very vivid and special memory I have of her, which I never mention to her now, is when she wrote me a letter. A two-page letter sent from Sweden after we called it quits. Beautifully written with heartbreaking words, who does that right? The old school way of expressing someone's affection is so much more special to me now.
I still carry that golden envelope, stamp and all. It remains the most significant letter written to me. I won't lie, she's one ex I don't mind keeping in life. She's a constant reminder of humility for me. It's good to know we've kept the memories locked away but continue to respect each other enough to act completely normal with each other. And is it me or are these outfits keep getting warmer and warmer? I guess the autumn/winter bug has gotten to me.

The trouble with love is...no matter how hard you try to make her realize she deserves better, she won't believe in it herself. There's always a fear or a cowardly excuse from embracing true love. Sweetheart, it's about setting yourself free; it's about accepting the truth. Give it a chance, that's all you need.
A little bit of an influence from N Sync's "Girlfriend" music video and a little bit of actual life in this outfit.

Something a tad different this time around. I've had my affair with dresses these past few posts (oh, I'll go back to it) so let's get into the more comfort in those jeans, shall we? This look has been hovering over my head for some time now. With spring in mind, I consider this sexy cool with an old world sophistication.

Okay. I finally did it. For the longest time, I chose to avoid doing a look inspired by her. I, honestly, felt that I would do her no justice. To me, she was simply off-limits. But it finally came to me. I didn't want it to go over the top, but I wanted to keep it sophisticated. She is, as I have mentioned so many times before, the crutch in my life. A very important woman who I always aim to make proud. I would be lost without her, no exaggeration. It really is nice to see her almost everyday at work; I take pride in knowing I work with her, even though we're in different departments.
No charming speech this time around, there are no words I have that would truly express how much she means to me and how big of an influence she is in my life. She is my Athena, my Lady of Light, my Galadriel. I know it's geek status but that's the only comparison I can make in this world.

In some places in the world, like the UK, people are feeling the coldest days near the end of winter. Yes, that's correct, I said winter. In other corners around the world, such as Dhaka, it's safe to say you are an easy target for heatstroke. Who had heatstroke? I did. But that's largely because of my own irresponsibility of not having the regular intake of water each day.
With that aside, it's given me the idea for today's look. Actually, a couple of looks (I'm feeling a little generous today). Like I have said many times before, many things in the world can inspire a new look for me or a certain image; even on days where I can find myself bed ridden after a heatstroke.
