Private Collection: Sleepless in Sweden
11:56 PMA unique beauty from up north. First, Norway (click here), then Sweden happened. She was the first Bangali girl I had met with her personality. She was wise beyond her years, and more importantly, I never had a single argument with her. I've never not had an argument with a Bangali woman. True story. She taught me life lessons, having to reevaluate myself as a person more often than not. She's changed over the years, but I believe for the better. Much more open to the world, letting herself experiment, yet still with a steady head. A very vivid and special memory I have of her, which I never mention to her now, is when she wrote me a letter. A two-page letter sent from Sweden after we called it quits. Beautifully written with heartbreaking words, who does that right? The old school way of expressing someone's affection is so much more special to me now.
I still carry that golden envelope, stamp and all. It remains the most significant letter written to me. I won't lie, she's one ex I don't mind keeping in life. She's a constant reminder of humility for me. It's good to know we've kept the memories locked away but continue to respect each other enough to act completely normal with each other. And is it me or are these outfits keep getting warmer and warmer? I guess the autumn/winter bug has gotten to me.
