    The Paris Show Pt. 2

    10:43 AM

I hope some of you enjoyed the first round of Paris fashion week for menswear. Let's get straight to it. If you do need a "refresh" go ahead and click here. That will take you straight to part 1 which will end up leading you all the way to Milan fashion week. Enjoy! Junya Watanabe literally incorporated his entire collection through a farmer's attire. It's got to be the most expensive threads a farmer could slap on. Jokes aside, the idea works. Stefano Pilati of Yves Saint Laurent was simply brilliant. YSL has had a very rich and interesting history and it does not shy away from it with this collection. Here are my favorite looks from Paris fashion week, round 2:

And that should wrap up part 2 of the Paris shows. This time around it has to be YSL that came up on top for me. It's honestly very wonderful to see the transitions of YSL from designer to designer. I believe Stefano Pilati has done a wonderful job taking the reigns after Tom Ford's departure from Gucci Group (the company that owns YSL). I have to commend him on his work as it is difficult for any designer to take lead after legendary designers before them. Yves Saint Laurent (Algerian-born) was the creative head of Christian Dior at the age of 21. Then in the 2000s, Tom Ford took over Gucci (along with YSL). Tough acts to follow? You bet.
