    4-S Effect

    3:08 PM

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with me. This one is about one of my favorite designers, Simon Spurr and his Spring/Summer 11 collection; hence, the "4S Effect". As in common fashion knowledge, every season designers show off their stuff. You, the audience, will not like everything from every single designer. It just doesn't work that way. There are, in every season, two or three collections that will make your jaw drop and or have you fall in love with them.
This season was no different as Simon Spurr had one of those collections that I absolutely loved. Its style is very Brit with a dash of Italian chic. Here are my SS11 picks from British designer, Simon Spurr. Keep in mind the details.

For me, this SS11, Mr. Spurr stood out to me the most. Sure, there are the Armani collections and Tom Ford that I always admire, but it's nice to see the non-heavy hitters making some noise. That's the beauty of fashion to me, you can have a multimillion dollar fashion label yet get your socks rocked from a smaller fashion house. In the creative world, we love to feed off each other from ideas to design; it is what keeps us going in perfect harmony.

The silhouettes are fiiiine, but that's a lot of layers and not much colour for summer.

I understand from the color stand point but you can still layer during Spring and Summer as long as the fabric is the correct one. With fabrics like linen, satin, and cotton, it's easy to layer without having to deal with the heat you'd get from let's say wool. And the way they have cotton woven in nowadays just makes easier for men, especially, to layer.
