I know what you have seen me present on this site has been more on the professional level, things that are mostly on the semi-formal/formal style etiquette. I'm here to remind you all that style is in pretty much everything you do on a daily basis.
This also refers to what you wear on a casual day or event. Remembering the time, back in the school days, where we - as boys - used to beg our parents to buy us those new basketball shoes that was worn by our favorite ballers. That's the only real fashion knowledge we had as young boys. Even then, those choices were influenced by the brands and athletes that showed them off. The reality is sneakers will always be there for us. Sneakers have evolved greatly, from athletes in their respective sports to the runway in a fashion week.
No one, not even in the fashion industry, would have ever thought the likes of Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin would be cranking out sneakers...for men! I wouldn't consider this as a new trend. It's more like the next level of evolution for the sneaker. The materials used, nowadays, are more costly than before. As high school kids, we thought purchasing those new Jordan's that cost $200+ was a big deal. Years later, we find that there is a whole different world to shoes in general. We find such things as Louboutin's Louis Strass "Swarovski" that costs $2,495 USD. Yeah, that's right. Not a typo.
I'm not here to persuade you into buying such posh sneakers, that would be insane. Even if I had the cash to do so, there would be no way in heck I'd splurge that much for sneakers. Let's find a middle ground shall we? Today's item is just that. Excellent material of the high-end yet still keeps that casual look and feel of a pair of quality sneakers.
