The recent issue of The Journal from MRPORTER.com as been the outdoors issue. It's another winner trend for the fall and winter. One of the key items is the quilted jacket. Everything about it spells outdoors, you don't have to worry about dressing up with these quilted jackets. There are quilted jackets this season from J.Crew all the way up to the high-end labels like Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.
Unfortunately, in a very hot and humid climate, it's pointless for someone like me to purchase one. But for those who are more than able, I suggest you invest in one or two (definitely at least one) for the autumn and winter months. The types of common fabrics you will find in quilted jackets are corduroy, cotton, cashmere, and nylon. Most of them are light-weight and others heavier for that extra warmth. Some are cut-offs, while others are long sleeved.

This Maison Martin Margiela quilted jacket has a leather placket and snap fastening collar. It's a sporty yet very functional jacket and there is plenty of warmth to be had.
