Gentlemen's Sartorial 6
8:10 PMIt goes right down to your socks, gentlemen. I have always said, when it comes to a man's wardrobe, it's always in the details. Some stand out with no effort, while others demand a closer look into. Today's post is dedicated to a part of your outfit that, possibly, gets the least attention. Your socks.
Not too long ago, before the new season began, I had an obsession with designer socks. Different colors and different designs. I made a personal mission to get as many as I could. Socks have been getting a bit more attention than ever before. The various sources of street style have shown men, very stylish men, sporting the most lively style of socks. You, obviously, have to make sure the color(s) of the socks have contrast to your entire outfit. If your pants are tailored correctly, as in the length, your socks will make one heck of a statement. One very important note: socks are cheap! Well, majority of them. Purchase as many as you can!

- Make sure your trousers (pants) are tailored to fit. The length of your pants should sit right above the heel of your shoes.
- If you are wearing jeans, you can simply roll up (or fold) the jean leg - as in, the selvage should be showing.
- Wear the correct shoes. Whether they are lace-up oxfords or sneakers, don't forget that the socks should have contrasting color(s). They should not only flow with your pants but also compliment your shoes.
- Have fun! Just because summer is over, it doesn't mean you can't take the colors and excitement with you into the fall/winter months.
- Be confident. Like anything else in style, you have to be confident and comfortable with yourself.
