With all jokes aside, I believe simply looking forward to the weekend is a small and temporary remedy. I know most of us, who aren't already, would love to be in a job that we actually love doing. Then, it wouldn't really feel like work, would it? The best way to go on through this day without dreading it is really not thinking about it at all. Nowadays, I think we are so caught up in our own traffic in our heads that we lose track of time and even forget what day it is. I think hump day is felt more by people working behind a desk all day. If your busy, that always takes the mind off things but at the same time, it's a bummer when you have no passion behind what you are doing.
As I always say, think positive. Think of the better things in life and the things you'll do at the weekend to let loose. It's OK from time to time to concentrate on you. If you don't take care of the MVP (you), then you can't take care of the rest of the team in order to win the game together at the end.

Let the boys play so you can concentrate on having thee look to have before the colder months pass by. What I really enjoy and love about the fall/winter collections is that this is becomes the best example of how a woman can strut the classy-sexy look. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the 50s influence and or the yesteryears was a fantastic choice. The temperature drops and so do your hemlines.
- The classic camel coat - Look for the beige and tan shades in these. These should fall right over your knees. There is this beautiful Alexander McQueen cashmere camel coat that I believe is the perfect coat for this specific coat. That doesn't mean you have to purchase some that is over 4 grand you can always opt for the hunter coat which is more affordable.
- Easy grey tees - The most affordable article of clothing in this look. Remember, these tees are full-sleeves and have a very casual feel to them. Any shades of grey will pretty much work with the entire look but try to be aware of the colors on the other items in this look to put it together perfectly.
- The long sleek skirt - The colors for these should lean towards the darker grays or even in black. The sexier touch would try to find the long sleek skirt with a slit - the slit can run from just below the knee to the hemline.
- Lace-up peep-toe booties - Possibly my favorite part of this look. Once again, the colors for this should match the classic camel coat - lean towards the lighter shades. Giuseppi Zanotti for Thakoon (wonderful designer by the way) has possibly the best style of these booties and also has quite the high price tag. But of course, there are still quality booties you can still purchase - Michael Kors would be a really good example of that.
- Shades - Cool White Shades to be more specific. The only real must have accessory to this look. It tops this classic look, really. It has the lighter color frames with the light tinted lenses. Be it Chanel or Celine, there are various designs out there right now choose the right ones and you've got the look to have.
Overall, this look is not only easy on the eyes but a wonderful classy look. In my opinion, it's pure sophistication found in a minimal outfit. (see the entire outfit on Style.com)
- Gentleman Tip of the Day -
I know most of you have gone out and grabbed your copy of Black-Ops for your PS3s and 360s wasting away for hours in the video gaming world. In fact, I know some women who are also busy playing so I will make this simple. Some men still do not know how to properly shave. For those who go off to the barbers, good for you; keep at it, as that is the closest shave you will ever have. Not all of us have the time to head off to the barbers though. There are steps to follow, one after the other for a proper shave.
- Face-wash - Invest in a quality face-wash for men. All these steps are important and preparation before the actual shave is really important. Your skin needs to be as smooth as possible and clean from all those natural oils and other dirt that tag along.
- Pre-shave oil - This isn't a must but does help a lot for a closer and smoother shave. This product serves as a skin warmer. It's almost the same as the barber placing a hot towel to your face before the shave. Apply this to the areas that you are about to shave so it can open up the pores and make your strokes smoother. The substitute to this is lightly splash warm water on your face. And remember to always shave with warm or hot water.
- Shaving cream - There are different kinds so there isn't really a cream or gel that is superior to the other. What does matter is that you know what kind of skin you have. For example, I use Gillette shaving gel "Ultra Comfort". I'm sure you gentlemen know how to apply this to your face.
- Blades - The actual shaving. It's important that the tool you are using is top of the line. Those five blades razors are no joke. There are reasons for these types of razors. It's to give you the most comfortable and closest shave as possible. There are many negative after-effects of shaving so it's important to have the right tool. I use the Gillette Fusion (this razor has an extra one-blade on the opposite side for the hard to reach places and trimming) so my shaving goes down really smooth.
- Strokes - I've given this activity a separate step all by itself. All the preparation is nice and smooth but if your strokes are off, are you in a lot of trouble. The first stroke is with the grain not against it. This means shave in the same direction your hair grows on your face. More importantly, lay off the pressure. Those five blades are there for a reason, so don't push it when you are making your strokes. After you have gone with the grain, it'll be safe for you to go against the grain. Once again, don't put too much pressure on the razor.
- After-care - Once the shave is done wipe off any extra shaving cream/gel left on your face and lightly splash some water on your face. There is one step many men don't use and don't know about that I use. I always get an ice cube (only one ice cube) and rub it around the shaved area. This, believe it or not, helps a lot to sooth your skin. This quickly closes the pores. Soon, after drying your face, it's time for the after-shave products. The best products are the ones that have the moisturizing effect. I use an after-balm by Nivea. It has the initial kick you would get from, let's say, Old Spice after-shave, but it only sticks for a moment and the rest is smooth sailing.
The ideal time to shave is right after a shower. This is the beginning stages to opening up those pores. Afterward, you can follow these proper steps in shaving. Keep that face smooth and professional. There's a lot more you can learn and purchase from places like The Art of Shaving.com that's a good place to start.
